About This Series

The National Bank of Cuba series of Cuba in the World Currency contains 17 distinct entries.
The Banco Nacional de Cuba (National Bank of Cuba, NAT) was a privately-owned bank which produced two identical series of notes in 1904, one denominated in pesos and the other in dollars. The peso issue was distributed to all the branches around Cuba, but they were quickly withdrawn as the Cuban government had not authorized their issue or use and they had no government backing.
