About This Series

The Bank of Territorial Development (行銀邊殖) series of China National Banks in the World Currency contains 78 distinct entries.
The Bank of Territorial Development (BTD) was founded in 1915 and went bankrupt in 1917, although the last notes are dated 1918. While earlier issues carry places of issue for locations across China, later overprints are more and more confined to the peripheral, still developing, regions of the north and northeast.
